The Nelson-Tebedo Health Resource Center is located in the heart of the Oak Lawn area of Dallas. Named for Bill Nelson and Terry Tebedo, the Health Resource Center has been serving the community for over 10 years.

Among the services offered at the Health Resource Center are:

The following programs of the Nelson-Tebedo Health Resource Center DO NOT require a Client Services ID card: 

Medication Trials:  On-going progressive drug trials. Documentation on current studies and criteria available through the AIDS Update.  Free.

Health Monitoring:  Low-cost blood draws for physician-ordered lab work. Charges based on test ordered.

Wellness Program: For persons newly diagnosed with HIV. You must be referred by a member of the Clinic staff, a physician, any county health department, or an early intervention program. Applicable charges.

Body Composition Testing:  Lean body mass and total fat percentage measurements obtained with state-of-the-art technology.  Reduced charges for clients.

HIV Antibody Screening:  Anonymous or confidential testing available, with HIV prevention pre-test and post-test counseling.  $20 fee.  Call for days and times.

STD (Sexually Transmitted Diseases) Diagnosis, Treatment, and Counseling:  Gonorrhea, Chlamydia and Syphilis testing and treatment. Call for appointment and pricing.

Medical Case Management:  For persons diagnosed with HIV. Treatment education, risk reduction, STD screening and treatment. Coordination of medical services.

AIDS Resource Center Client Information

Dental Clinic: 

• You must be uninsured (NO dental insurance).

• You must have a Client Services ID card.

• You must be at least 18 years of age.

• You must be a resident of Collin, Dallas, Denton, Ellis, Henderson, Hunt, Kaufman, or Rockwall county.
