The Gender Education, Advocacy & Resources Program (GEAR) is a Resource Center Dallas program created in 2005 and is the first formalized transgender program sponsored by a major LGBT organization in North Texas. GEAR is dedicated to empowering transgender men and women through education, social occasions, outreach and medical services. GEAR focuses on increasing the well-being of all transgender people, their families and their friends.

Night Out with GEAR

Join trans-men and women for a night of fun, food, drinks, games, movies and much more on the last Thursday of every month. Group meets at Le Madeleine 3906 Lemmon Ave, Dallas, TX 75219 at 6 p.m. At 8 p.m. we leave and head to Cedar Springs for a fun night with friends. 3rd Monday of each month, 6 p.m. at Nelson-Tebedo Community Clinic.
Low-cost lab work and access to medical staff (referral may be required at a doctor's discretion).
