Even with the best, most inclusive workplace policies, cultural competency training is needed to bring those policies to life. Today’s competitive marketplace makes it more important than ever to recruit and retain talented and diverse employees while providing world-class customer service to the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) communities.
Resource Center Dallas is recognized across North Texas and statewide for the training we provide to businesses, colleges and universities, and governmental bodies. Our training provides opportunities for education and discussion about diversity and inclusion. It is free of any “agendas” and welcomes questions from the class.

We use an integrative model that is both didactic and experiential through discussion, role-play, group exercise and group processing in a variety of settings. Our training reflects the latest research, yet is built on more than a decade of performance and development. Our materials were created with expert peer review in the fields of human resources, psychology and organizational behavior.
Depending on the needs and client, we supplement our training staff with experts from a variety of fields, including medical, organizational behavior, psychology, human resources, and diverse communities. We also include members of the transgender community to provide their unique perspective on their lives. Modules range from 90 minutes to four-hour blocks, as determined by the needs of our clients.
Resource Center Dallas has three full-time employees that make up our workforce development team and can devote the agency's vast resources to make sure the training is a success. The Center has a 29-year history of support to the North Texas LGBT and HIV/AIDS communities and is regarded as a national leader among LGBT community centers.
